NFL FOOTBALL PLAYER APPEARANCE IN CHICAGO HEIGHTS THIS SATURDAY

CHICAGO HEIGHTS RESIDENTS INVITED TO  PICK UP FREE KEEPSAKES AND AUTOGRAPHS FROM NFL FOOTBALL PLAYER AT FALL 2012 TRI-TOWN RAIDERS SIGN-UPS

WHO:              Fred Blue, NWI resident and former linebacker for the NFL's San Diego Chargers along with Tri-Town Raiders Pop Warner coaches and players.

WHAT:           Children and adults in NWI are invited to meet Fred Blue, former NFL player and NWI resident, at fall sign-ups for Pop Warner youth football, cheer and dance.  Blue, who is in the midst of an NFL comeback, will be on hand signing pictures, autographing memorabilia and educating  children about the importance of staying fit and participating in organized sports.

                        Blue began his career in football as a North Central College standout before progressing to become a San Diego Chargers' linebacker. The athlete now works with youth programs to promote the values of hard work, dedication and focusing on academics.  Blue will be handing out free keepsakes and autographs while the Tri-Town Raiders organization accepts registrations for its Fall 2012  youth football, cheer and dance programs.

Graduated from Merrillville High School in 2005 - Current Head Coach that also Coached Fred in High School is - Zac Wells

Went to RVC (Rock Valley College) - Outside Linebacker/Strong Safety -Head Coach Jeremy Warren

Transferred to NCC (North Central College in 2008 where he played Outside Linebacker and Strong Safety.

2nd Season at NCC - played Defensive End and Outside Linebacker - Head Coach Jeff Thorne

August 2010 - Linebacker San Diego Chargers Practice Squad - played under current Head Coach - Norv Turner
