'Run for Freedom' a Holiday Hit in Homewood

Check out the top finishers in the July 4 race.

The H-F Racquet & Fitness Club (the Club), located at 2920 W. 183rd St., hosted the second race of the H-F 2014 Summer Circuit, the July 4 Run for Freedom. 

Continuing to grow in popularity, the annual tradition pre-dating the Race Circuit, started and ended at the Lions Club Park and Pool in Homewood. Local runners were joined by runners from outside the district as well as a large showing from the H-F Community Running Club.

The Circuit is comprised of three timed races – Apollo 5K in May, Run for Freedom in July and the Flossmoor 5K in September. The Circuit routes are flat and

fast courses winding through the Chicago Southland communities of Homewood and Flossmoor. Conroy Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy, the Circuit’s

main sponsor, provides onsite warm-up and cool down therapeutic services to race participants.
