Down 3-0 after the first inning, the Spartans rallied for a hard-fought 6-3 softball victory in a recent matchup vs. Andrew.

Marian Catholic softball coach Kerri Evans had to be scratching her head after the Spartans allowed three first-inning runs.

But her team responded in a big way, getting two of those runs back immediately in the home half of the opening inning. Then, Marian Catholic erupted for four more in the sixth to complete a 6-3 rally in a recent game against Andrew.

Pitcher Amy Ziems settled down after the first inning and didn't allow a hit the rest of the way.
