Students Pitch In For Japan Earthquake Victims

Students from Lincoln School in Chicago Heights collected pennies to help victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

The students raised $460 that will be donated to the American Red Cross.

Sister Marion Sitkiewitz, O.P., the Marian Catholic High School archivist and the Forensic Fine Arts Program’s cheerleader, was inspired by the Dominican Sisters in the first grade at Our Lady of Grace grade school in Chicago.

Verge Local High School Art Exhibition Winners Participate in Awards Ceremony

Works of art created by talented students from five local high schools are on display at Prairie State College's juried art exhibition.
