Lunch Bags and Book Bags Up for Grabs

That sigh you just heard from your child(ren)’s room was the realization that the first day of school is just around the corner. As that first day approaches, the city of Chicago Heights, Mayor David Gonzalez, Senator Hutchinson and Cornerstone Christian Church are coming together to help prep students.

On Sunday, Aug. 18, 1,000 lunch bags and 1,000 book bags, will be given away to Chicago Heights school students, along with free haircuts, provided by Supreme Clientele.

The event is first come, first served, so arrive early for the event, which begins at 11 a.m. and will continue until 2 p.m.
