I used to love their malty pancakes but they're not the same anymore. They're spongy and tasteless. Omelets are greasy and either under- or over-cooked, depending on your luck.

Food quality took a dive recently and they raised their prices. With a sandwich you used to get fries and soup. Now it's fries OR a tiny cup of soup. They can't make hash browns well done or eggs over medium or well done. They mess those up every time! If your a breakfas restaurant and can't cook eggs your in trouble!
They also no longer honor their repeat customer rewards program. Don't know why they lowered the qualty of food and raised their prices, but after gong there for many years, I won't be going back. I guess Jim Jr. doesn't know how tor run the place like his father did. There was always a line to get in there. the food and servce were awesome - No more!
To bad they had to change things up here we use to go to this place at least twice a week but now with all the new changes we do not go here any more use to be the best resturant in the south land not any more. They use to have the best marble rye bread around but changed to some cheaper bread that sticks to your teeth gross. Now we go to a new place inTinley park a little out of the way but they are what The Egg and I use to be we miss the people there very much had been going there for over 20 years no more Carol Henderson
Most delicious food, excellent service, extensive menu choices, friendly staff, extremely clean, reasonable prices -- Did I miss anything? It is the BEST!

I love the new menu. Best pancakes around! The food is always fantastic and the service excellent. I have a hard time going anywhere else around for breakfast.
