My parents sacrificed a lot to send my siblings and me to Marian and I am extremely grateful thatRead More they did! It truly is a great school and I am proud to say that I am an Marian Catholic Alum. I love their "tag" line, "Teaching Scholars with a Soul" It describes them perfectly!

"Virtual walls"? Geezus... GPS spoofing is but one way around the geofence. The otherRead More is simply walking up to someone and saying "HEY *(&*(^^#&*(Y($*() !!!!!" Or use a different app created with a bogus email account... *sigh*. Sticks and stones people... sticks and stones... Walk it off and move on...

Most of the schools don't have good heating systems so having students in a ice box class room is noRead More go..or having them walk to school in that type of cold having to deal with those who speed up and down the street is also a problem just waiting to happen... So no they should not be open. As a parent of school age children I can drive mines to school but I worry about those who have to walk.

I understand that what he may have done was wrong..., but so many people do wrong. I bet everyRead More single person in this world has done something they regret, or will do things they will regret. I know for a fact that I have, but who knows about him? All that happened was an investigation, information was never released if it was true or not. I understand many people's frustration. However, I don't feel everyone should beat him down over one thing. Yes, it might have happened (if I'm not mistaken, no absolute information was released) and yes, it's not a small thing he's being accused of. But we need to look past a lot of things to see a persons true colors.

I'm shocked by so many of you. Kevin was a good teacher, ok. Kevin abused his position and tookRead More advantage of a student, not ok. How great of a teacher he was is erased when it comes to him violating a child. But he was a great teacher... Who really cares? There's a child who's suffering now as a result an adult.

It would seem that people take advantage of others all the time, Hermes. Some use people for money.Read More Some for advancement. It's amazing how many ways people hurt and use one another. I don't understand why you think the entire, complex person that was this man could be completely erased by this mistake. I suggest all of us look in the mirror. What are our misdeeds that we ask forgiveness for? Whom have we used and not apologized to? I suppose that is a good thing to think about now, ask forgiveness before the opportunity passes us by.

So sorry to hear this news that yet another young under aged child has been killed, hopefullyRead More Parents will recognize that children under 12 need supervision and help getting around and about out here in this savage world, life is so precious you have to think ahead in order not to be a victim, children are not aware enough to be out in these streets alone until they are about 12 or 13, please Parents if you have rules this should not be happening.

I think she is on the right track but I feel that there needs to be a light there or a stop sign.Read More She needs to attack the city instead of the school

I agree something needs to be done, however I am not sure what entrance she is speaking of. TheRead More students do not Enter the doors on the Southside of the building, closest to Chicago Road (there is not an 'east" entrance). They do, however dismiss from these doors (across from the bank). I believe there should be a crossing guard at that corner, as well as School Zone, reduced speed signs on Chicago Road. There are these signs near Greenbriar School. This was a very tragic accident, and I feel that if a crossing guard was posted there, students may be more cognizant.

As Jackson Hill's grand mother I believe anything that can be done to prevent this from everRead More happening again needs to be done!!! Thank You Ms Anderson

This just seems ridiculous. The document may have been appraised at $65k but that doesn't mean thatRead More someone has to buy them. The threat to burn the document because he can't get the money he want's for them shows that he doesn't care about the historical significance of the diploma. I'm sure there are collectors that will spend tens of thousands of dollars on the diploma but to expect everyone to pay the highest price is short sighted.
