This week's featured pet is Genie, a small Jack Russell and Welsh Corgi mix.
Meet Genie. She's a small an unique mixed breed with tons of energy. Genie's fairly aware of her special nature and tends to have a high opinion of herself around other dogs, so she might be best for a family with no other pets. Though her legs are short, she's pretty fast, making her a grear dog to play fetch with. To learn more about Genie, visit his listing on the South Suburban Humane Society's (SSHS) website! This week's featured pet was tossed over the South Suburban Humane Society fence on the Fourth of July.
Meet Firecracker. He's a fully grown Terrier and Affenpinscher mix. While a little shy at first, Firecracker is very affectionate and would make a great dog for a family with older children. Already have a dog? No problem! Firecracker gets along with other dogs famously. Sadly, Firecracker was thrown over the South Subruban Humane Society fence on the Fourth of July. Luckily, Firecracker didn't get hurt in the process, and now he's temporarily in the care of the the folks at SSHS while waiting for someone to come and adopt him.
