It's about time, right? 2010 is coming to an end, and one of the most historically intriguing areas in Illinois will finally have its own exclusive online news source.
Historically a hub of ethnic diversity and cultural legend, Chicago Heights got its name over a century ago and has seen many notables, from the notorious Al Capone to baseball's favorite multi-tasker, Mario "Hap" Bruno. Beyond all the famous and infamous faces, The Heights has garnered attention, as of late, for its political sector. A monumental ward restructuring is on the way, and in a city that has gone through three mayors in one term, Chicago Heights will have plenty to discuss in 2011.
