Jesse Jackson Jr. in Plea Deal Talks, Sun-Times Columnist Says

Jackson is in ongoing talks with federal investigators about a plea deal, Michael Sneed's sources are saying.

The same congressman that grabbed 64 percent of the vote to win his district back could be working on a plea agreement with the feds, according to longtime Sun-Times columnist Michael Sneed. “No one has pled guilty, but plea discussions are ongoing,” one of Sneed's sources told her. Some of the information being revealed in a federal investigation could be damning for Jesse Jackson Jr. The congressman may have used campaign funds to buy a $40,000 watch for a female friend, according to Sneed's sources. Jackson is under criminal investigation under suspicions that he used campaign funds to decorate his Washington D.C. home.
